On 15th October 2011, ninth students with their housemasters Mrs Edyta Jurkiewicz-Saek and Mrs Aneta Maciaszczyk participated in the hike to Doy Biskupie entitled “Knowing Nature Monuments” near wilina-Kunw.

You are all very welcome to visit our Photo Gallery.

Students: Adrian Famin, Kuba Somski, Dominik Wojciechowski, Kacper Hanus, Jakub Berdychowski, Kacper Szwast, Przemysaw Dobrowolski, Jakub Dziura, Kamil Orpik started the trip to Doy Biskupie where they saw rocky exposure – Inanimate Nature Monuments and among them closed quarries of the dolomite in Doy Opacie and the sandstone in Doy Biskupie.

Then, everyone walked in the direction of the Wiry water dam on the wilina River where we admired the structure itself but also amazing views. The nest stage of the trip was reaching Kunw. Hiking through the forest and picturesque ravine, participants of the hike observed rocky loess exposure. There was the time for the meal. Delighted by the views students reached Kunw where they visited the Saint Wadysaw Church. Sculptured altars in sandstone and stone bell-tower designed by famous painter, Wojciech Gerson, absorbed students’ attention. On the churchyard apart from the historic gravestones there were graves of the insurgents died in 1863.

Despite of the fact that it was freezing cold we didn’t complain and returned full of impression and in good humours , confirming the desire of participation in the next hikes.

Description of Kacper Hanus:

On 15th October 2011 we were on the hike with Mrs Aneta and Mrs Edyta. During the hike we got to know the nature and different monuments. The hike was through: Doy Biskupie, Inanimate Nature Monuments, among them closed quarries of the dolomite in Doy Opacie. I liked the hike very much, it was very nice and interesting.
