Making of Christmas cards.
Redaktor: Administrator

Christmas is an exceptional time in Polish history and culture. The tree, Christmas Eve, sharing wafer, carols, all this makes Christmas a significant celebration full of family warmth. One of many traditions in Poland is sending Christmas cards. The pupils of Youth Sociotherapy Centre took a really active part in making their own Christmas cards.

During their arts classes and their extra afternoon classes they created numerous cards with Christmas motifs.

The purpose of the classes was shaping students’ sense of national belonging, learning about Polish traditions and ability of artistic expression. The cards were created in many techniques; boys were using paints and crayons, making cut-outs and painting with toothpaste and correction fluid.
